The Pacific Crest Trail in Big Bear Lake, Ca
Hiking Only - No bikes allowed
Elevation: Lots
Distance: As far as you want!
The Pacific Crest Trail (red line on map) goes all the way from Mexico to Canada. Over 2650 miles!
Each year hundreds of intrepid hikers attempt to backpack the entire route. They carry everything they need to survive and stop in small towns along the way to resupply food and sanity! Luckily you don't have to endure 20-40 mile days to experience the grandeur of the PCT in Big Bear. There are many places where you can "hop on" the trail for a scenic day hike.
The PCT crosses many roads in Big Bear and here are the places I would hike in order of best views offered.
(You can also shuttle between these points if you have 2 cars)
